Ranunculus Sweater

I've been on a roll this year knitting sweaters, and recently finished this beautiful spring top! It's the popular Ranunculus pattern by Midori Hirose, and I used four skeins of Drops Belle yarn which is made of cotton/linen.

It's a light and airy top, with a really pretty lace yoke. I plan to wear this to Nash Yarn Fest in March and on an upcoming business trip to California in April.

I made the size 3 with the wider neckline and eliminated the short rows on the front.

I was intimidated by the lace for the yoke, but it turned out to look a lot more complicated than it actually was to knit. I found some helpful videos at Sun Dragon Tips that explained the special stitches needed for each round.

I used size 8 needles for all of the ribbing, and planned to use size 10 needles for the rest but accidentally grabbed size 10.5 needles instead and didn't realize until halfway through. But the gauge still worked out fine.

I plan to eventually knit another one of these, except with long sleeves and using wool yarn. I'm having trouble deciding what color though. When I go to Nash Yarn Fest I'll be on the lookout for a pretty DK weight yarn that I could use for this.
