Pemberton Knitted Pocket Scarf

Bundle up in this cozy knitted pocket scarf! This pattern is great for beginners because it consists of garter stitch worked flat in rows. Pockets are also worked flat using ribbing and garter stitch, and you get to practice seaming them onto the scarf.

Assembly

Place a pocket on one end of the scarf and center it. Pin it into place using stitch markers or safety pins. Use the yarn tails to sew the pocket onto the scarf by alternating inserting the needle into a purl bump on the scarf and a loop on the pocket edge. Sew around the sides and bottom of the pocket, leaving the top of the pocket open.

Repeat for the second pocket on the other end of the scarf. Attach fringe to the bottom edge of the scarf.
