One of my favorite things to make are hats! Here are a few of my go-to knit and crochet hat patterns.
Crochet Patterns
Urban Jungle Slouchy Beanie by Vickie Howell
This was one of the first hats I ever made and it turned out fabulously. The puff stitches are fun to crochet and give it a unique look.
Hillside Beanie by JBK Crochet
This hat is so beautiful, and it works up fast using bulky-weight yarn.
Cocoa Beanie by Megmade With Love
Rather than being constructed in the round like most hats, this one is crocheted in a flat panel and then seamed together. The texture of the stitches is unique and really pretty.
Button Flap Baby Beanie - by Alli Crafts
I have made a lot of these as cute little baby gifts. The hats pictured below are made with I Love This Cotton yarn and a wooden button.

Super Cat Hat by Destiny Meyer
I have made so many of these cat hats in various colors and they are a hit. The cat ears are fun and the super bulky weight yarn is very cozy.
Rhys Beanie by Wilder & Rhy
This another fabulous pattern that I have made several of. It's a good way to use up worsted weight yarn (you hold two strands together), but I also think it would look great with a bulky weight yarn like Hue + Me
This broken-rib pattern is easy to knit and looks so pretty. You can make this hat with any soft worsted weight yarn.
I had some leftover bulky-weight wool yarn from a ribbed scarf project, and decided to knit a hat with it. I made this pattern up to match the scarf, and it turned out cute. This is a great slouchy hat to throw on and go, and the wool makes it warm
